Alongside the rebranding, the company introduced a new management structure centered on developing services for the Canton Network, a blockchain built specifically for regulated financial institutions.

The transfer is part of SBI’s vision of an “on-chain finance” industry which relies increasingly on blockchain-based financial products, securities and transactions instead of traditional approaches.

Since SBI was launched, it has been actively contributing to this network, even as a Super Validator, one of the key participants in the network that validates and makes sure transactions are carried out correctly.
