Hong Kong is facing destructive winds and drenching rain as Super Typhoon Ragasa tracks toward the financial hub, potentially becoming the most damaging storm since Mangkhut in 2018.

France recognized Palestine as an independent state and called on Israel to end the war in Gaza immediately, along with Saudi Arabia at a United Nations conference. Several countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and Portugal, formally recognized Palestine, joining almost 150 nations that had already made the move.
