The report received criticism after its release, with party leaders saying it is distracting from the midterms. The beginning of the report also contained an unusual disclaimer, noting that the views reflected in the report do not reflect those of the DNC. Martin has since apologized for the report’s release, saying it has made an even bigger distraction for the Democratic Party.
