Amid Populist Shift, Some Democrats Are Urging A More Moderate Approach To Succeed In Midterms

A new report from the center-left New Democrat Coalition, shared exclusively with CNBC, lays out a roadmap for addressing affordability without splashy populist promises. The lawmakers who authored the report told CNBC that they plan to pitch the ideas in the report to economically anxious voters as they push to take back the House in 2026.
