Athletes can often face hurdles when it comes to their finances. Two-time Olympic gymnast and author of “From My Head to My Toes,” Aly Raisman joins Wealth! to discuss her “passion” for personal finance, how she chooses the right sponsorship deals and her possible future in venture capital.
Raisman explains how it can be hard for Olympians to capitalize on their achievements, saying that, for her, staying authentic to who she is is what brought her success.
Raisman is also dipping her toes into venture capital, saying, “With my own portfolio, I’ve recently gotten into the venture capital world of investing, small check sizes and companies that I believe in,” she told Yahoo Finance. On the possibility of starting her own venture fund Raisman added: “I don’t like to start anything unless I’m 100% confident that I can do it. So I want to wait until I feel, more comfortable and I have more time to learn.”
