We are learning more today as President Donald Trump says that the U.S. Navy will “immediately” begin a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, the blockade would stop vessels from passing through the strait entirely. “Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump said on social media on Sunday.
