We are learning more this weekend as a number of recent polls show President Donald Trump’s approval rating slipping in the weeks after the Iran war began. The approval rating dip comes as ongoing conflict in the Middle East continues to cause fuel prices to surge in the United States. The average cost of gas across the country hit $3.96 per gallon, according to the AAA. That’s 35% higher than a month ago. Reports indicate that Americans are feeling pain at the pump as gas prices rise. Iran continues to halt most shipments of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to recent Fox News polling, Trump’s 59% disapproval is the highest of either term. Last month, 43% approved and 57% disapproved. A year ago, views were nearly evenly divided, 49-51%.
