Task 1
Go to YouTube Home and take a quick glance at the thumbnails.
What peeks your interest?
(without reading the title and without trying to figure out what the video is about)
1. Write down which videos you want to watch
2. Ask yourself for each video: why do I want to watch this video? (not looking at titles, purely the thumbnail itself)
3. Can you roughly umderstand what the video is about? (not looking at titles, purely the thumbnail itself)
Task 2
Now try to understand what the videos you want to click on.
Did some videos leave your preferred selection?
Why is that?
Task 3
For the videos you still want to watch, ask yourself: Why do I want to watch this video?
1. Is the video topic clear? Do I (roughly) know what I get when I click on the thumbnail?
2. Is it because of the video topic I want to click?
Task 4
For the videos you don’t want to watch, ask yourself: why do I NOT want to watch this video?
1. Is the video topic clear of the video? Do I have an idea what I’m going to see when I click?
2. Is it about the video topic I don’t want to click?
Task 5
Click on one of the videos on YouTube Home you want to watch, and pause it when it starts.
Think step-by-step about the process you went though to click on the video.

Go to YouTube Search and search for anything that peeks your interest.
Look at the search results.
1. Ask yourself: why do I want to click on a certain video? And not on the others?
2. Ask yourself: what is the difference between the thumbnails on YouTube Home and YouTube Search?
