A major spoiler has been revealed for this week’s pre-taped episode of WWE SmackDown, which will air on Friday night.
On Tuesday, WWE taped the go-home Night of Champions edition of SmackDown at the O2 Arena in London, England. The show will air at 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday, with Night of Champions airing the following day at 1:00 p.m. EST inside the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Kiana James and Giulia squared off in a singles match for this week’s edition of SmackDown. The latter emerged victorious, but former NXT star Blake Monroe (real name Mariah May Mead) made a surprise appearance and attacked Giulia after the match:

Monroe competed for AEW as “Mariah May” from 2023 to 2025. She defeated Toni Storm at the 2024 All In pay-per-view to claim the AEW Women’s World Championship, holding it for 174 days before losing it to Storm at Grand Slam Australia 2025.
After wrestling her final match for AEW in March of last year, Monroe debuted on the June 3 episode of NXT with her new ring name. She won the NXT Women’s North American Championship at the Halloween Havoc event on Oct. 25, holding it for 52 days.

Monroe’s promotion to SmackDown comes at a key time, with the company missing key superstars. Drew McIntyre finished filming for Highlander, but is now shooting The Last Druid. Randy Orton is on hiatus to recover from a nagging back injury.
It was recently reported that CM Punk will move to the SmackDown brand when he returns to WWE. If that’s the case, the depth of the SmackDown roster will have gotten a lot stronger with him and Monroe joining the blue brand.
