President Trump says Russian President Vladimir Putin is “playing with fire” in a post on Truth Social.
“What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD. He’s playing with fire!” Trump posted on Truth Social on Tuesday morning.
Trump’s post comes days after Russian forces launched the largest aerial attack of the war so far, killing at least 12 people and injuring dozens more in Ukrainian cities, including the capital Kyiv, officials said.
President Trump said Putin had “gone absolutely crazy” in a post on Truth Social after the attack.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!” Trump wrote in a social media post on Sunday night.
U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg said the attack was “a clear violation” of the 1977 Geneva Peace Protocols and called for an immediate ceasefire.
