Crooked Media, the company behind the Pod Save America and other progressive podcasts, is expanding its live events with Crooked Con, two days of podcast tapings, panels and workshops scheduled for November 6 and 7 in Washington, D.C.
The event “is a chance to hear from and connect with smart people inside and outside the Crooked universe about how to galvanize that movement,” organizers said.
Crooked Con will kick off on the evening of the 6th with a live taping of Pod Save America at Warner Theatre. The following day will be a full slate of programming at The Wharf across a number of stages, with topics including “Does The Democratic Party Stand A Chance?” and “How Can Progressives Win The Attention War?” Also on site will be a content studio for content creators as well as partner organizations, which include Vote Save America and Americans United for Separation Of Church and State.
Crooked Media was started in 2017 with Pod Save America by former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor. The company has grown to include a slate of podcasts, newsletters and other content, and they also have started the related Vote Save America focused on political activism.
