Last week on WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo showed up after successfully defending his NXT Championship against Naraku at The Great American Bash. D’Angelo managed to defeat the former NJPW star despite dealing with an eye injury. Following his win, D’Angelo cut a passionate promo and sent a message to the entire locker room.

Naraku blindsided Tony D’Angelo when the latter was returning to the backstage area. He brutally assaulted his rival with a steel chair and took him out. Therefore, D’Angelo missed the latest episode of NXT as part of the storyline. However, in real life, the WWE champion reached a major milestone.

A few hours ago, Tony D’Angelo took to X to announce that he had become a father. He posted photos of himself with his newborn child. D’Angelo also revealed the boy’s name in the caption.

“Vincenzo James Ariola. My little boy,” D’Angelo wrote.

Tony D’Angelo married his wife, Isabella Ariola, in December 2024. On this year’s Valentine’s Day, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. They recently welcomed a baby boy to the world.

In Tony D’Angelo’s absence, Naraku appeared in a chilling video package on NXT. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion confirmed that he wasn’t done with D’Angelo despite suffering defeat at The Great American Bash. He claimed that the NXT Champion was unaware of his capabilities. The 39-year-old also sent a warning to his rival, teasing a rematch for the coveted title.

It will be interesting to see when Tony D’Angelo responds to Naraku. The duo will likely square off in an NXT Championship rematch after D’Angelo returns to WWE TV.
