Kevin Durant and Nike released a new commercial for the Nike KD 19 on Tuesday. The shoe brand released “Orange Crush” and “Purple Stuff” colorways and will collaborate with rapper Drake’s NOCTA line this summer. The Canadian rapper was also featured in Durant’s new Nike ad, and he took a shot at Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards.
The video showed the famed rapper bringing energy to Durant’s new sneakers. Drake hyped the newly released purple colorways and had a one-liner about Edwards.

NBA fans went wild online after seeing the new ad from Durant, Drake and Nike. Here are some of what the fans said.

Kevin Durant’s Sneaker War With Adidas
Kevin Durant has always been a Nike guy. Since becoming an NBA star, he has worn Nikes until he had his own signature shoes. When it comes to Adidas, however, Durant doesn’t shy away from trashing the competition.
It started in December 2023, when Durant said this on social media, “Won’t EVER see me put a big toe in them Mfers.” Adidas did not let that slide and responded with “u dusty about to retire soon anyway.” The comment from the shoe brand was immediately deleted, and they said, “meant to send that from the burner account…”
It was meant to be a shot at Durant having multiple burner accounts online. The marketing team for Adidas and Anthony Edwards has put out incredible ways to advertise the NBA star’s shoes and doesn’t back down to anyone.
In February, Kevin Durant made fun of Adidas again.
“Who the f**k wears adidas?” Durant asked a fan.
However, it backfired on Durant when Adidas footwear designer Lalal Enayah posted screenshots. The Houston Rockets star complimented James Harden’s eighth signature Adidas basketball shoe on Instagram.
“Since @easymoneysniper wants to talk s**t about adidas lol We both you’re a fan low key!” Enayah posted.
Looks like the sneaker war between Durant and Adidas isn’t over.
