Wednesday marked day two in the Meta social media addiction trial in Oakland, California. Arturo Bejar, a former engineering director at Meta Platforms, testified that CEO Mark Zuckerberg encouraged growth on Facebook and Instagram over child safety.
A coalition of states is alleging that the media giant engineered its app to be addictive to children. The trial is expected to last six weeks.
