Footage has resurfaced showing a heartwarming exchange between Joe Biden and Meghan McCain over the late Senator John McCain’s cancer diagnosis.
In the day since the former President announced his advanced prostate cancer diagnosis, 2017 footage from The View has gone viral on social media depicting Joe warmly comforting a teary-eyed Meghan who was breaking down about her father’s glioblastoma diagnosis — the same cancer that killed Joe’s son Beau Biden.

In the wake of Joe’s diagnosis, Meghan, who has very publicly been harsh on the 82-year-old over the past several years, issued the following tweets:
Cancer is the absolute worst. It is hell.
It is incredibly difficult for any family, anywhere that has to deal with it.
Wishing nothing but healing, prayers, light and strength to President Biden and his family.
I don’t believe times like these are appropriate for politics.
