Israel and Lebanon revealed Wednesday that they would extend a ceasefire agreement, with the latter creating new security zones where Hezbollah operatives would be banned. The deal came after the latest round of U.S.-mediated talks hosted by the State Department.
U.S. Central Command confirmed conducting strikes on Iranian targets on Tuesday in response to attacks by Tehran that were either thwarted by American forces and their allies or never reached their intended targets.
The U.S. military described its strikes on Qeshm Island as self-defense after Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at targets in Kuwait and Bahrain. The missiles either did not reach their destination, fell apart en route, or were stopped by U.S. or Bahraini air defense forces. No U.S. troops were injured nor were any American assets damaged in either attack, CENTCOM stated.
