According to new reporting from Reuters, some officials in the United States have told their European counterparts that some previously contracted weapons deliveries are likely to be delayed. This comes as the Iran war reportedly draws on weapons stocks. We are also learning more as it appears Iran has now reversed course on reopening the Strait of Hormuz as the war in the Middle East entered its 49th day Saturday. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump imposed a blockade after Iran restricted traffic through the strait. The strait “will not remain open” if the blockade continues, Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, said on social media.
