Officials in Israel confirm a policeman was killed and four other people were wounded after an apparent terror attack on Route Four in Southern Israel near Ashdod. At least one of the injured is in critical condition, per officials on the scene. The terrorist was reportedly shot and killed by an armed civilian.
In the meantime, all attention is on Israel as Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu has said Iran will “pay” for launching 180 ballistic missiles at his people earlier this month. No deaths were reported within Israel, but one Palestinian was killed in the West Bank.
Israel has held multiple discussions on a retaliatory attack against Iran, though just days ago, Israeli officials were quoted as saying the attack plan had not been finalized.
There are concerns that Israel could target military sites, oil refineries or Iran’s expanding military program.
US President Joe Biden has expected to Netanyahu that any retaliation by Israel should be “proportionate.”
