Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills lost his bid on Tuesday for a third term representing the state’s 7th Congressional District, falling to Ryan Elijah, a former news anchor.
Mills, who previously secured the endorsement of President Donald Trump, has been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee into allegations involving campaign finance violations and sexual misconduct in recent months.
Mills has denied those allegations. He has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing.
