Key Takeaways

Falcon Finance launched the USDf card across 90+ jurisdictions for verified users.USDf turns 3 asset classes – crypto, gold, and stocks into spendable liquidity.Falcon Finance will test whether a $0 annual fee drives tokenized assets into daily payments.

Falcon Card Lets Users Spend USDf Online and in Stores With a $0 Annual Fee

Falcon Finance has launched a payment card aimed at turning tokenized assets into practical spending power, extending its decentralized finance platform beyond lending and yield generation.

The Falcon Card allows eligible users to spend USDf online, in stores and through supported mobile wallets, where available. Users can mint USDf by depositing approved collateral on Falcon or acquire the synthetic dollar through secondary markets before transferring it to the card.

The company said the product is available to verified users across more than 90 supported jurisdictions. Access remains subject to local eligibility requirements.

Tokenized Assets Become Spendable Collateral

USDf sits at the center of Falcon’s system. The overcollateralized synthetic dollar is designed to let users unlock dollar-denominated liquidity without selling the assets they already hold.

Supported collateral includes stablecoins, major cryptocurrencies, tokenized gold and selected tokenized equities.

Falcon currently accepts Tether Gold, alongside several tokenized stocks issued through Ondo Finance. These include representations of Coinbase, Nvidia, Strategy and Tesla shares along with selected xStocks products.

By accepting these assets as collateral, Falcon is seeking to make tokenization more useful than simple ownership or price exposure. Users can deposit eligible assets, mint USDf and move that liquidity into decentralized finance applications.

Spending and Yield Remain Separate

Funds transferred to the card are intended for payments and do not generate yield. Users seeking returns can instead stake USDf separately to receive sUSDf, Falcon’s yield-bearing product.

Falcon said the card carries no annual subscription fee. The company also does not impose an additional Falcon transaction fee, although foreign exchange-related charges may apply.

The launch reflects a wider effort across the crypto industry to connect tokenized real-world assets with consumer payments. While blockchain platforms have made stocks, commodities and other assets easier to hold onchain, their use in daily transactions remains limited.

Falcon is positioning USDf as the bridge between those two markets. Its card turns liquidity created against tokenized collateral into funds that can be used outside decentralized finance, giving users another way to access value without directly selling the underlying assets.
