A daredevil couple have been arrested after climbing the Empire State Building — and to new heights in their relationship, too — all to… send a political message?!
On Wednesday, New Yorkers were surprised to see two individuals scaling the Empire State Building in an elaborate stunt… and no, it wasn’t Spider-Man promo!
Once they reached the top, the pair unveiled a banner showcasing a pointed political message:

Per multiple outlets, the couple, which have since been identified as Ivan Beerkus and Angela Nikolau, have since descended the building and been taken into police custody. As of now, the New York Police Department has declined to comment.

If their names sound familiar, it’s because they were the focus of Netflix’s 2024 documentary Skywalkers: A Love Story.
The pair have since taken to Instagram in a joint post to showcase pics from their NYC climb, and to show off Angela’s ring.
