The FBI has confirmed that the 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a US citizen from Texas, was driving a rented pickup truck and was carrying an ISIS flag with other weapons when he drove into a crowd in New Orleans allegedly this morning. The incident is being investigated as a terrorist attack says the FBI and officials in New Orleans.
Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick earlier today of the New Orleans Police Department gave an update about the “act of terrorism” according to the FBI at Bourbon Street in near New Year’s Eve and Sugar Bowl football game celebrations. 10 people were killed when a truck drove purposefully according to police into a crowd of people, and the suspect fired his weapon and struck multiple officers.
