An explosion at a shipyard on New York’s Staten Island has injured at least 16 people, according to officials. At least three people have suffered serious injuries.
FDNY reports:
-1 civilian was seriously injured
-2 firefighters were seriously injured
-2 firefighters were moderately injured
-9 firefighters were injured minorly
-2 EMS workers were injured minorly
All were taken to the nearest hospital. It is not currently known what caused the explosion.
