Morning Brief hosts Seana Smith and Brad Smith sit down with Standard Chartered head of crypto research Geoff Kendrick to discuss how the 2024 US presidential election results could affect bitcoin (BTC-USD) and the crypto market. “I think we will go to fresh all-time highs by the end of this year, no matter what happens in the US election,” Kendrick tells Yahoo Finance. “A Trump presidency should be more positive, given he’s been relatively constructive on bitcoin,” the researcher says, adding that he projects bitcoin will grow to $125,000 by the end of 2024 if Trump wins. “In the Harris scenario, I think we do go higher, but to about $75,000 by the end of this year,” Kendrick tells the Morning Brief team, claiming that crypto holders will still find “a somewhat positive story, but a much more positive outcome in a President Trump 2.0″ term. Kendrick expects bitcoin will rise to “$200,000 by the end of next year, no matter who’s in the White House.”
