B Strategy, the digital asset investment firm bridging traditional finance and crypto, is planning to raise $1 billion to establish a BNB strategy for a Nasdaq-listed company. The new company will be supported by YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, led by Chengpeng (CZ) Zhao and Ji He.

According to a press release seen by NFTgators, the new company seeks to become ‘the Berkshire Hathaway’ of the BNB ecosystem. It will be led by Leon Lu, the co-founder of Metalpha (NASDAQ:  MATH) and the former CFO of Bitmain, alongside Max Hua, the former CFO and rotating CEO of Bitmain. Both Lu and Hua are the co-founders of B Strategy. They will also be joined by B Strategy partners Ni Ming and Henry Wu.

Besides acquiring BNB as a strategic treasury asset, the initiative will also invest in core technology development, provide grants for innovative projects, and support community initiatives.

The company plans to leverage B Strategy’s global network spanning Hong Kong, ASEAN, the Middle East, and other key markets to access deep pools of liquidity, market intelligence, and distribution.

Commenting on the announcement, Ella Zhang, Head of YZi Labs, said in a statement: “BNB is emerging as the cornerstone utility for the next generation of capital markets and financial systems, powering Web3 with unmatched trading volume, robust stablecoin integration, and growing real-world asset adoption. Its high on-chain usage and strong incentives for builders and users are driving mass adoption.”

Leon Lu commented: “By leveraging a publicly listed company, we will use our assets and resources to support an ecosystem that is already [number one] in daily transaction value (12.5 million transactions/day) and [second] in dapps/projects. The listed company will hold and actively manage BNB as a core strategic asset with YZi Labs’ support, pursuing a ‘maximize BNB-per-share’ strategy.”
