EXCLUSIVE: The McDonough Company, the production company of Ruvé and Neal McDonough, has inked a three-picture first-look deal with Angel Studios, the crowdfunding studio behind titles like Sound of Freedom, which has been their home on projects like The Last Rodeo, The Shift, and one of the most-watched films on the Angel streaming platform, Homestead.
As part of the deal, Angel will have first consideration on a slate of films currently in development at The McDonough Company, including a project that reunites Neal McDonough with long-time creative partners Jon Avnet and Mykelti Williamson following their work on The Last Rodeo, as well as such series as Justified and Graham Yost’s Boomtown.

As an actor, Neal McDonough is known for his work on films like Clint Eastwood’s Flags of our Fathers and Marvel’s Captain America, as well as such series as Band of Brothers, Suits, Yellowstone, and Tulsa King. The McDonough Company’s most recent film with Angel was The Last Rodeo, which Neal co-wrote and produced alongside his wife Ruvé. Pic released in theaters in May 2025.
