Adar Poonawalla is saving lives one vaccine dose at a time. The CEO of the Serum Institute of India has big expansion plans for the world’s biggest vaccine maker. Building on lessons learned from the Covid pandemic and fast-tracking the Covishield shot, Serum is expanding and investing in new treatments for malaria and cervical cancer. It’s the latest stage in a journey that began with the family stud farm and a passion for horse racing, with serum from horse blood used to develop treatments.
