This first issue opens the door to the VeeFriends Universe with the debut of eight characters — six featured on the cover and two revealed inside — in VeeFriends’ first full-length comic book story.

At the center of the story is Mikey, a kid drifting off course. His mother and homeroom teacher throw him into an unexpected journey with a group of VeeFriends determined to help him find his way. There’s just one hitch: none of them know how to drive. Chaos ensues, and a head injury sends Mikey into a vivid dream. He’s visited by his late father, who warns him that his imagination is growing dark — and that even darker forces are coming. When Mikey wakes, the group has crash-landed on the mysterious Burn Island, where the VeeFriends reveal their true mission: to save the world from itself — and Mikey might be the key to it all.

This is just the beginning of something much bigger. A new universe is unfolding — one story at a time.

The premiere issue features a stunning cover illustrated by comic book legend J. Scott Campbell, known for his iconic work with Marvel, DC, and his co-founding of WildStorm’s Cliffhanger imprint.
