Castro Has Been in Custody Since June
Castro was arrested on June 30 in Deerfield Beach on domestic violence charges, including kidnapping, domestic violence by strangulation, witness tampering, and battery. He allegedly assaulted his wife during an argument over a “jealousy issue,” according to the police report.
Castro allegedly dragged his wife back by her hair from their yard into their home, where he choked her until she lost consciousness three separate times, she told police. Castro then reportedly tossed her “face down” to the floor and “smashed her head into the ground repeatedly.” When responding to the call, officers noticed injuries on the victim’s face and neck which were consistent with the violence described. Castro had pleaded not guilty on all charges, and the case was ongoing.
