We are learning more as President Donald Trump is set to host Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House this week. The high-level talks are aimed at deepening economic and defense ties. LiveNOW’s Mike Pache is speaking to Jonathan Strum, a former Georgetown Professor of Israeli Law and Middle East Affairs, as both leaders are expected to sign several economic and defense agreements during the visit.
“We’re more than meeting,” Trump said on Friday en route to Florida this weekend. “We’re honoring Saudi Arabia, the crown prince.” Trump told reporters Friday, “I hope that Saudi Arabia will be joining the Abraham Accords fairly soon.”
