After two episodes, The White Lotus Season 3 has been serving its usual mix of opulence, sex, and mystery. While many fans might be focused on Saxon’s (Patrick Schwarzenegger) massage in Episode 2, the biggest plot development is easily about his father, Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs). Because when Timothy finally gets his cell phone back in Episode 2, the voice at the other end of the phone, Kenny, continues to deliver bad news.
But who is that voice? Turns out, in something that is a bit of a White Lotus tradition, that voice belongs to someone we all know and love. Mild spoilers ahead.
Who Plays Kenny in The White Lotus?

The voice of Kenny—one of Timothy’s business associates—is played by none other than Ke Huy Quan. Back in the 80s, Quan was beloved for his portrayal of Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Data in The Goonies, but, more recently, he has made a bigger comeback in projects like Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), Marvel’s Loki (2023), and this year’s Love Hurts.
In The White Lotus, that’s totally Quan’s voice as Kenny, telling Timothy the money laundering scheme that they pulled together has drawn the attention of federal agents. Kenny is depressed and despondent, and Timothy threatens to straight up kill Kenny, blaming him for the scheme in the first place.
Whether or not we’ll actually see Kenny in the flesh by the end of The White Lotus Season 3 is unclear. In this show, people tend to make good on their violent promises, which means, onscreen or off, it’s possible Kenny’s chances for survival are slim.
This isn’t the first time The White Lotus has smuggled in a voice cameo via phone call. In Season 2 the character of Abby, who also only appeared via a phone call, was played by Laura Dern.
