SilentPatch for GTA 3 has been updated specifically to fix its incompatibility with the Upstate Liberty mod. The modder confirmed this in an X post on April 22, 2026, by stating:

“SilentPatch for GTA III has been hotfixed to resolve an incompatibility with Upstate Liberty. If you’re using UL and SP together, please update! NO UPCOMING FIXES are present, this is only a critical hotfix release.”

Of course, this point is important because it is a one-time fix, not part of a regular update cycle. No more patches are planned for this issue at the time of writing. Alongside the announcement, the modder also included a blog link with more details about the update.

The Upstate Liberty mod itself expands GTA 3 by adding a countryside region beyond Liberty City. It gives players access to areas that were never part of the original map, which has been something the community has wanted for years.
