Lawyers on both sides of the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial hammered down instructions Wednesday for the jury to begin deliberations once closing arguments wrap up in the former record executive’s federal trial for alleged sex crimes. LiveNOW’s Andrew Craft is speaking with former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani.
Rahmani clarified that “there are no charges being dropped in the Diddy case.” He told Fox News Digital, “the prosecution’s letter to the court says they are no longer pursuing the attempted kidnapping and attempted arson as predicate acts for racketeering. ”
The hip-hop mogul’s sex trafficking trial has shifted to closing arguments.
A prosecutor told jurors Thursday that Sean “Diddy” Combs “committed crime after crime” for two decades but thought his “fame, wealth and power” put him above the law. “That stops now,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Christy Slavik said. “It’s time to hold him accountable. It’s time for justice. It’s time to find the defendant guilty.”
