Law enforcement officials provided an update Thursday on a shooting at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. The suspect, who killed one person and injured two others, was identified as Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, who pleaded guilty in 2016 to attempting to provide support to ISIS, according to the FBI. The agency said the shooting is being investigated as an act of terrorism.
Jalloh, an ex-Army National Guard member, was sentenced to 11 years in person and was released from federal custody in 2024.
