The Kansas City Chiefs failed to make the postseason for the first time in more than a decade this season. While the Chiefs’ offense was scrutinized for its failed season, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is in high demand.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Arizona Cardinals have requested interviews with Nagy for their coaching jobs.

Fans reacted to the Raiders requesting their AFC West rival’s OC for a coaching interview.

“Out of all of the options, why him?”

“These teams interviewing Nagy after his Bears disaster and this year’s Chiefs offensive struggles? Must be a case of collective amnesia in NFL front offices. 😂”

The Chiefs OC is set to interview with the Tennessee Titans and Raiders on Thursday and is scheduled to meet the Cardinals on Friday.

Chiefs’ offense capitulated in second half of 2025 season under Matt Nagy

The Chiefs were in contention for a postseason spot despite a shaky start to the 2025 season. However, their campaign derailed in the second half as they lost six consecutive games to end the season.

Over the last eight games of the season, the Matt Nagy-led offense managed just 127 points, only better than the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders’ tally.

Nagy didn’t have the best second half of the 2025 season and his coaching resume features four seasons at the helm of the Chicago Bears. He was named the NFL coach of the year in his first season with the Bears in 2018 but finished with a 34-31 record.
