The former AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley suffered another devastating setback on the most recent episode of Collision. The Purveyor of Violence has been on a downward trend for the past few months.

Ever since losing his AEW World title at All In Texas in July, Jon Moxley has not had a great second half of 2025. He lost an ‘I Quit’ match to Darby Allin at WrestleDream 2025, tapped out to lose the Blood and Guts match, and lost to Kyle O’Reilly in a no-holds-barred match at Full Gear 2025 as well.

Moxley is also competing in the 2025 Continental Classic tournament. In his first blue league matches, Moxley defeated Mascara Dorada and lost to Claudio Castagnoli, respectively. In his third match, the Death Riders leader was set to take on Konosuke Takeshita in the main event of the latest Collision episode.

Following a competitive encounter, Takeshita managed to hand another setback to Moxley by winning the match. Konosuke now has 6 points in the blue league, while Moxley still has 3 points. Another loss in the C2 after a series of setbacks is definitely devastating news for Moxley.

Former WWE star hinted at Jon Moxley’s replacement as Death Riders leader

The former WWE Superstar, Bryan Danielson recently teased Jon Moxley getting replaced as a leader of the Death Riders. After Claudio Castagnoli defeated Moxley on Dynamite last Wednesday, Bryan recalled how Blackpool Combat Club considered Moxley a leader because he was never able to defeat Mox.

While on commentary, Danielson emphasised Claudio defeating Moxley, hinting at Castagnoli being the future Death Riders leader:

“When we were in the Blackpool Combat Club together, I was never able to defeat Moxley, that’s why we saw him as the leader. Claudio Castagnoli has just defeated Moxley!”

Moxley could be out of the Death Riders, looking at his recent setbacks as well. Only time will tell what’s next for the Death Riders.
