Sixteen races have taken place in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin secured his fourth win of the season after winning The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway on Sunday, June 14.

In a Pocono race, Hamlin held off points leader Tyler Reddick in a dramatic fuel-saving effort to cross the finish line in P1.

The 160-lap Pocono race is done and dusted. According to the drivers’ finishes in Sunday’s race, they received points, which will determine the top 16 playoff drivers after the 26-race regular season.

After winning the race, Denny Hamlin gained 67 points and maintained his second place in the points standings with 685 points. He is 334 points above the Chase bubble.

Tyler Reddick finished runner-up and gained 35 points. He maintained the top spot in the NASCAR Cup Series points table, but the lead gap has been reduced to 19 points over second-place Hamlin.

The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson finished fifth and gained 41 points. He moved to sixth place in the points standings with 494 points.

Chase Briscoe, the defending winner of the event, couldn’t repeat his last year’s heroics as he finished 12th. He gained 32 points and moved to 12th place in the points table with 411 points.

Hamlin stands second, followed by Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott, Ty Gibbs, Kyle Larson, Chris Buescher, Daniel Suarez, Carson Hocevar, and Christopher Bell to round out the top 10 in the points standings.
