Jason Statham is set to unleash his new film, an action thriller titled Mutiny, and Lionsgate has dropped a new poster which directly copies the classic Die Hard poster.

Nicely done, Mutiny. The social media post says, “Die Hard on a boat? Heard. Catch Jason Statham in #MutinyMovie — only in theaters August 21.” As far as Die Hard on a boat goes, I think we all know that Under Seige is the OG Die Hard/boat movie.
What We Know About Mutiny
The description reads: “After witnessing his billionaire boss’s murder and being framed for the crime, Cole Reed (Jason Statham) boards a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his boss’ death only to discover an international conspiracy.“
Jean-François Richet (Plane) directs from a script by Lindsay Michel and J. P. Davis. In addition to Statham, the film also stars Annabelle Wallis (Malignant), Roland Møller (Skyscraper), Jason Wong (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Adrian Lester (The Sandman), and Arnas Fedaravicious (The White Lotus).
The film is set to hit theaters on August 21.
Jason Statham Plays Jason Statham
It’s been argued that Jason Statham pretty much plays the same role in each movie, but you know what, he’s pretty good at it. However, one of his upcoming projects will find the action icon stepping into an unusual role: himself.
He’s set to star in a new big-budget action comedy from director David Leitch (The Fall Guy). Plot details for the film, titled Jason Statham Stole My Bike, are being kept tightly under wraps, but the project will reportedly feature the actor “in the role of a lifetime, playing global action superstar Jason Statham.”
Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) recently joined the cast of the film, which is slated to be released on August 6, 2027.
