In her new Netflix series titled, “With Love, Meghan,” Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, reveals she grew up on fast food as a “latchkey kid” who loved Jack-in-the-Box tacos.
It was that love for fast food that led to a revelation about Markle during an episode of the show featuring actress and comedian Mindy Kaling. The two became email pen pals while bonding over their children and the trials of motherhood before Kaling revealed “Meghan Markle loves Jack-in-the-Box.”
The former “Suits” actress corrected Kaling and revealed that she doesn’t go by the last name “Markle” anymore, despite every media entity using her maiden name.

“It’s so funny you keep saying Markle,” she said, correcting Kaling. “You know it’s Sussex now. You have kids and you go, I share my name with my children. I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me but it just means so much to go, this is our family name. Our little family now.”
Kaling replied, “Now I know and I love it.”
The former actress and husband Prince Harry were given the Sussex title by Queen Elizabeth on their wedding day on May 19, 2018.
“It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children,” she told People in an interview published on Monday, March 3. “I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together. It means a lot to me.”
During the eight-episode Netflix series, Meghan revealed the food that brings her husband – and their three dogs – running into the kitchen.
“When I’m cooking bacon, my kitchen very immediately becomes full of [my] husband and three dogs … my bacon brings all the boys to the yard,” Meghan quipped in the show, while wearing neutral tones. “I take a lot of pride in making breakfast for my family. The morning’s fast, gotta get the kids to school.”
“With Love, Meghan,” debuts on March 4.
