A jury found Karmelo Anthony guilty of murder for fatally stabbing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a 2025 track meet.
Prosecutors held a short press conference after Anthony was sentenced to 35-years in prison.
“Justice was served,” Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said standing next to Austin Metcalf’s twin brother, Hunter.
