Jenny Mollen is opening up about navigating her split from Jason Biggs.
Last month, news broke that the My Best Friend’s Girl co-stars were heading for divorce after 18 years of marriage and two kids. While we’ve heard bits and pieces here and there about what drove their split — from Jason reportedly completely changing after recently shedding weight, to feelings of inadequacy and insecurity — the pair are said to be on great terms as they co-parent sons Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8. But just how great?? Well, according to Jenny, so great it still feels “romantic”!
In an interview with Amanda Hirsch for the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, which drops in full later today, the 47-year-old opened up about her split from the American Pie actor:
“It’s surreal, yeah, I feel like it’s really bizarre.”
She went on to detail how different the breakup feels than any she’s ever been a part of before — largely because of the two sons they share:
“People will be like, ‘How does it feel?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know, the same?’ We live in two different places, but we’re still tethered. We have kids. We still talk 18 times a day about everyone’s schedule and after school and holidays … So it isn’t a normal breakup where you’re like, ‘See ya!’ and then maybe we’ll bump into each other in 10 years and talk about it. It’s not like that.”
They’re with each other for life!

Amanda went on to speculate their union just wasn’t “romantic” anymore, but Jenny wholeheartedly disagreed:
“It’s still romantic. We still love each other.”
Uhhh, what?! It’s not uncommon for divorcees to still hold feelings for their ex, but to still feel “romantic” throughout a split? That’s new! Ha!
Jenny clarified:
“It’s just not, I don’t know. It’s a different type of romance. It’s, like, your best friend.”
That makes a bit more sense… Kinda, sorta… Maybe… Ha!
The mother-of-two went on to confirm she and Jason remain close:
“We love each other, and it is a solid relationship. We have always been amazing co-parents and teammates.”
That’s great to hear! However, the “weirdest” part of their split of all has not been physically separating from someone she’s spend YEARS with — it’s been been navigating everyone else’s feelings:
“It’s not like a death where people just write you, like, ‘I’m so sorry. Do you need anything?’ It’s more like somebody’s attending your wedding, and you have to take care of everybody else. You’re like, ‘Are you OK? Can I get you a drink?’ People are like, ‘I don’t know how to feel! I’m so sad.’ And I’m just writing, ‘I don’t know you. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for your loss. I’m so deeply sorry.’”
