The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its military investigation found that six hostages whose bodies were recovered in Khan Younis, Gaza were killed by Hamas terrorists as Israeli soldiers approached. Alex Dancyg, Yagev Buchshtav, Chaim Peri, Yoram Metzger, Nadav Popplewell and Avraham Munder were located in a tunnel on August 20.
In the meantime, President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Middle East envoy traveled to Qatar and Israel to kick-start efforts to reach a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal before he takes office on January 20, a source said, amid indications that Doha was resuming its role as a mediator in the talks. Steve Witkoff, the incoming envoy, met separately in late November with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the source said.
Dr. Asaf Romrowsky, Executive Director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, joined LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow to discuss the latest, including the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire in Lebanon.
