EXCLUSIVE: Maddie Ziegler (My Old Ass), Rob Lowe (Parks & Recreation), Graham Phillips (Scarpetta), and Elias Kacavas (Euphoria) have signed on to star in In a Holidaze, a new Netflix rom-com from writer-director Tiffany Paulsen and Alloy Entertainment.
The film is based on the 2020 novel by Christina Lauren, the pen name for longtime writing partners Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings, who between them, have produced 20 New York Times bestsellers. It follows a directionless twenty-something who, after making a romantic mistake of epic proportions, finds herself trapped in a holiday time-loop, forced to relive the same Christmas at her family’s cabin until she discovers what truly makes her happy.
In a Holidaze marks the latest film out of Alloy Entertainment’s creative partnership with Netflix that sees the company produce features for the streamer under a multi-year first-look deal. Alloy’s president and chief creative officer Leslie Morgenstein will produce alongside the company’s EVP Film, Elysa Koplovitz Dutton, with Lowe exec producing.

Recently seen in Megan Park’s acclaimed coming-of-age dramedy My Old Ass for Prime Video, Ziegler’s upcoming slate also includes the Amazon MGM action thriller Ballerina Overdrive. She is repped by WME, Rothman/Andrés Entertainment, and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.
Lowe has most recently been seen starring in Fox’s 9-1-1: Lone Star and hosting their game show The Floor. Other upcoming projects include the ABC comedy The Ram, the dark comedy My New Friend Jim, comedy The Musical opposite Gillian Jacobs, and the Bleecker Street horror film The Third Parent opposite Crispin Glover. He is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Latham & Watkins.
Known for roles on shows like The Good Wife, Atypical and Riverdale, Phillips has also been seen in films like Yes Day and Blockers. Next to be seen in Prime Video’s Scarpetta opposite Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis, he is repped by Gersh, Amplified, and Felker Toczek Suddleson.
Kacavas’ credits include a major role in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, as well as parts in Euphoria, Fire Country, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. He is repped by Innovative Artists.
Alloy Entertainment has had all three of its Netflix films open at #1, including Work It starring Sabrina Carpenter, Purple Hearts starring Sofia Carson, and You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah with Adam Sandler. On the television side, they had the hit Penn Badgely series You on Netflix for five seasons. Their other television series include both iterations of Gossip Girl, the Pretty Little Liars franchise, and Vampire Diaries and its spin-offs.
