Governments spent years treating privacy coins as criminal tools, and exchanges delisted them worldwide. Now Grayscale is turning its Zcash trust into an ETF on the New York Stock Exchange, ticker ZCSH, and charging 2.5% a year for the privilege.
Scott Melker’s point is the irony of it. Buying a privacy coin through a listed fund might be the least private way to own one.
He also digs into Coinbase putting tokenized Apple, Nvidia, Meta, and Alphabet shares on Base, each one backed by a real share with real voting rights, available to everyone except Americans. Plus Bitcoin’s rejection at $81,000, Hyperliquid hiring lobbyists, and Binance offering 40x leverage on a Korean chip stock.
