Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), Trump’s 2024 running mate, held a campaign rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, hours before Vice President Kamala Harris was expected to speak in the city as part of her tour of swing states.
Earlier in the day, Harris had announced that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was her VP pick. It appeared to be between Walz and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro for the spot.
After the news broke, Shapiro wrote on X/Twitter that he was looking forward to campaigning alongside Harris and Walz and helping them get elected to the White House.
During his rally in Philadelphia, JD Vance was asked about his comments regarding “childless cat ladies.” While answering the question, a supporter in the crowd hollered, “this cat lady loves you!”
