White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt held a weekly press briefing, and as you could imagine tariffs was a key topic for the media. A federal court blocked President Trump’s tariffs on goods from nearly every country, finding his use of a national emergency law to justify the tariffs was beyond his legal authority. Leavitt said the President is taking the fight to the Supreme court. The media also questioned Leavitt about the continuance of Doge following the exit on Elon Musk and whether there would be a new leader.
