The family of Corey Ruiz, the man shot and killed by a Madison, Wisconsin police officer on Wednesday, has hired attorney Ben Crump as officials announce an investigation into the shooting. It is being investigated as a homicide. Crump’s law firm previously represented the families of other people killed in high-profile police shootings, including George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. On Friday, Ruiz’s family held a press conference with Crump.
