Stifel Financial (SF) CEO Ron Kruszewski sits down with Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi in Davos, Switzerland, at the 2025 World Economic Forum to discuss his market (^DJI,^GSPC, ^IXIC) outlook and expectations for US President Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Kruszewski says, “Stocks are kind of priced for perfection,” as the earnings yield, and the 10-year Treasury yield (^TNX) are roughly equal. He adds that the market is “already discounting” that some expected Trump policies will come to fruition like an extension of 2017 tax cuts, immigration changes, and deregulation. If “those things come together, markets can do OK.” The Stifel CEO tells Yahoo Finance says 2025 will benefit from “some tailwinds because of the new administration and the policies that are being put forth.” He highlights the financials sector specifically as an area that could gain.
