US President Donald Trump says Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, knew nothing about the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. He made the comment as they met at the White House to announce a deepening of economic ties.

The US Senate is moving to clear a House-passed bill forcing the Justice Department to release its Jeffrey Epstein files. Trump has since relented, though he could still delay the release of some documents.
