Billionaire Elon Musk says he plans to donate about $45 million per month to a super PAC backing former president Donald Trump, according to a report by Wall Street Journal.
Musk just endorsed Trump after the Republican candidate survived an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, PA.
America PAC , which was formed last month in support of Trump with financial help from some of Musk’s friends, The Wall Street Journal reported. It includes Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and former U.S. ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband, Joe, the chief executive of coal producer Alliance Resource Partners.
The group has spent at least $6.6 million on behalf of Trump, who was nominated at the Republican National Convention on Monday to be the party’s candidate for president.
